This summer, I spent a month in Peru to study video storytelling and global reporting. I produced a human-interest story about the 250-plus abandoned cat population in Miraflores, Lima, and how volunteers are working to get these felines off the streets and into homes. Additionally, I helped create video content for a segment of WCVB's Chronicle, set to air in September.
January to June 2024, I worked on the sports desk for the Boston Globe, assisting with various tasks from Celtics playoff previews to social media content creation. I functioned as the girls' tennis beat writer, along with writing Boston Marathon content and more. I've especially enjoyed creating graphics on Canva for the Globe Sports' Instagram.
Currently serving as the sports editor of NU's independent student-run paper, I communicate with all writers, photographers, SIDs, design editors, and senior staff on behalf of the sports section. I've had the privilege to cover college sports games, including the Beanpot tournament at TD Garden, in which I wrote game recaps and created audiovisual content for The News' Tik Tok and Instagram.
